Pricing Policy – The Goalie Crease

 

 Our customers are the most important part of The Goalie Crease Family and we believe strongly in offering everyone the same competitive price for products with professional, specialized, and most of all friendly service. We are a high volume retailer and we have developed great relationships with our manufacturers, agents, and affiliates to offer you, our customer, pricing that is competitive in today’s market. We go to these measures to eliminate the old retail ways of high prices and negotiation tactics that give a false sense of savings that are still used today. You will see two and sometimes three prices on all our products. The first listed as “MSRP” states what our manufacturers feel is what their products are worth to the consumer. Second, you will see our price which is what we find to be competitive in today’s market. Lastly, you will see sale pricing on products that are truly on sale. We believe this creates a high level of truthful and ethical business practices that we are proud to stand behind.

 

 There are times that our competition will have a lower price or we simply price our products and services out of fair market value. In cases like this we will match a competitor’s price given it is the same product and in stock, the same size, same colour, same model year, market considerations are taken into account and do not conflict with manufacturer’s pricing and shipping policies.

 

 The Goalie Crease recognizes the vast differences from one goaltender to another. Realizing this we offer almost all custom order products for the same price as stock products. Now that you can get exactly what will suit your needs we have also worked extremely hard with our manufacturers to offer better than average lead times to get what you want, at a competitive price, in the quickest time frame possible. Custom modifications and graphics options are different from manufacturer to manufacturer. All graphic modifications, if available, are subject to a custom graphic surcharge at the discretion of the manufacturer. All product modifications, if available, are subject to a custom modification surcharge at the discretion of the manufacturer. These cases vary from purchase to purchase and manufacturer to manufacturer.

Payment Policy

PLEASE NOTE, CUSTOM ORDERS WILL ONLY BE HELD FOR 30 DAYS FOR THE BALANCE TO BE PAID. ANY CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE NOT PICKED UP THEIR ORDER AFTER 30 DAYS WILL FORFEIT THEIR DEPOSIT.

 All Orders may be paid by VISA, MASTERCARD AND INSTORE DEBIT OR CASH

 

 All orders are entered in CANADIAN FUNDS and converted to the currency of the cardholder on their credit card statement. Therefore all pricing provided verbally or online, is approximate and may vary slightly due to the actual current exchange rates. This will affect all customers in the USA and INTERNATIONAL.

  

All pricing is subject to change without notice. Orders will be honored at prices noted at time of order placement.

USA customer shipping and handling costs will include brokerage and duty. This will be charged in CANADIAN FUNDS and converted to the currency of the cardholder on their credit card statement.

Canadian customers are subject to all applicable taxes.

 

 

Shipping Policy – CANADA AND USA

 

 All shipments are processed immediately. Typically if a product or service is purchased by our valued customer before 3:00 pm EST it will be shipped the same day. If you purchase a product or service after 3:00 pm EST it will be shipped the following day excluding Friday as there is no Saturday pick up service offered by Purolator Courier.

 

  

Unless otherwise stated, Canada and USA shipping is done via Purolator ground service.

All prices are based on packaged weight.

Delivery times vary with final destination distance from The Goalie Crease but will be received at a maximum 7 business days within Canada or USA.

All packages must be signed for and will not be left on doorsteps or in specified areas.

Redirection must be done by our associates and will be accompanied by a surcharge. If any order is redirected by the customer a surcharge will also be applied.

All shipments are insured from our location to your door. Once the package is signed for, the receiver assumes all responsibility for the package and damage claims will not be honored.

If your package arrives and has been tampered with or is in poor condition please refuse delivery and contact us immediately.

All packages paid with a credit card must be shipped directly to the cardholder and to the cardholders billing or shipping address.

Ward and Patch Sports/The Goalie Crease can’t guarantee any delivery lead time of shipments. 

USA shipments must pass through local customs. This occasionally causes delays that are beyond the control of Purolator and The Goalie Crease.

Purolator offers air service to Canada and USA. Prices are based on cubed weight of the package. Air shipping is up to 5 times more expensive than ground service.

   

All shipments are accompanied by tracking information. This information is forwarded to your email address for all online transactions. Unless otherwise stated, International shipping is done via Canada Post Air service.

All International shipping is done via Purolator air service for sticks.

BAUER has a shipping policy for all current products and services.

 

BAUER will not allow any Canadian retailer to ship current products or services to destinations outside of Canada. Because of this policy we will not be able sell, charge or ship any BAUER products or services involving customers with addresses or destinations outside of Canada. We can service customers outside of Canada on current BAUER products if they have an address or destination in Canada or in The Goalie Crease retail store. This is a MAP policy that BAUER has developed and one we abide by as BAUER has been a great partner with us and we respect their wishes. Shipping Policy – CCM

 

CCM has a shipping policy for all current products and services.

  

CCM will not allow any Canadian retailer to ship current products or services to destinations outside of Canada. Because of this policy we will not be able sell, charge or ship any CCM products or services involving customers with addresses or destinations outside of Canada. We can service customers outside of Canada on current CCM products if they have an address or destination in Canada or in The Goalie Crease retail store. This is a MAP policy that CCM has developed and one we abide by as CCM has been a great partner with us and we respect their wishes. Taxes – CANADA

 

Taxes only apply to CANADIAN customers.

All orders purchased or shipped within ONTARIO is subject to 13% HST.

All orders shipped to ALBERTA, BRITISH COLUMBIA,SASKATCHEWAN, MANITOBA, QUEBEC, NUNAVUT, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES, AND YUKON are subject to 5% GST.

All orders purchased or shipped within PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND,NEW BRUNSWICK,NEWFOUNDLAND AND  NOVA SCOTIA are subject to 15% HST.

 

Taxes – INTERNATIONAL

 

International shipments must clear local country customs before being let into the country.

International shipments that clear local country customs may have certain charges associated with the receiving of products or services.

We have no control or knowledge of specific countries’ import costs, duties or taxes.

  

The receiver is responsible for researching, knowing and accepting subsequent charges associated with products and services purchased from The Goalie Crease. Through your research if you have any special requests or suggestions regarding taxes into your country we are more than happy to receive your advice so that we can provide you with the professional, specialized and friendly service to meet and exceed your needs and wants.

 

  

Brokerage and Duties – USA

 

Ward and Patch Sports/The Goalie Crease pay all related duty and brokerage fees into the USA.

  

With increased HOMELAND SECURITY we strongly recommend that all valued customers in the USA provide us with their social insurance number. Your personal information is only shown to the appropriate authorities. If you choose not to provide your social insurance number, you can sometimes expect longer delivery times in shipping and the possibility of additional charges out of our control. It is for all our safety. We leave the choice up to our valued customer.

 

 

Return and Exchange Policy

  We work extremely hard to satisfy every customer so that we don’t come across returns or exchanges. Sometimes errors occur. If we do make a mistake please contact us, explain the situation and we will provide you with instructions to resolve the issue and make things right at our expense. Please note the following policy in the event a return or exchange must be made.

 

  All products returned or exchanged must be brand new and not used.

No returns or exchanges will be accepted without a return authorization number. Please email us at info@thegoaliecrease.com or call us at 1.888.449.1274 to obtain a return authorization number.

All returns or exchanges must have a photocopy of the original invoice, receipt, first and last name, phone number, email address, billing address, shipping address and any special instructions.

All returns or exchanges must be notified within 5 days from the customer receiving the product.

Return authorization numbers are only valid for 5 days, all return or exchange product must in transit within 5 days, or they will be refused.

Returns or exchanges must be shipped at the expense of the customer. 

Shipping fees are not refundable.

There is a 15% restocking fee for all returns.

All exchanges will be replaced with the desired product or service. Customers are responsible for shipping and any balance owing on the new product or service to replace the returned new product or service.

Delays in shipping are not cause for order return or exchange.

Custom orders can’t be returned or exchanged.

 

 Please note once you have requested a return authorization number special instructions will be given to our valued customers. These instructions will vary for each and every customer. Please follow the provided instructions. If these instructions are not followed there may be additional charges to the customer for customs, brokerage, duties, taxes and shipping.

 

  

Warranty Policy – MANUFACTURERS

 

 All manufacturers offer peace of mind when you purchase a product from The Goalie Crease. This peace of mind comes in the way of warranty programs that are unique for each piece of gear and sometimes unique from one manufacturer to another. Please note the following policy in the event a warranty claim must be made.

 

 Protective Gear

 

  All warranty claims are made at the discretion of the manufacturer and not the responsibility of The Goalie Crease.

All warranty claims must go through The Goalie Crease unless otherwise stated.

All warranty claims must be made, explored, and resolved within one calendar year or 365 days from date of purchase.

All warranty claims may result in a repair charge if claims don’t fall under manufacturer warranty policy.

Warranty claims must have original proof of purchase from The Goalie Crease which includes a receipt and/or invoice. No original proof of purchase will void all manufacturer warranty.

All warranty claims are covered against defects in manufacturing and workmanship.

Warranty claims do not cover any damage resulting from neglect, normal wear and tear, abuse, mishandling, and used products.

All personal modifications or alterations to any part of the product will void manufacturer warranty.

Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer to The Goalie Crease and upon return of the repaired or replaced product.

 

 Skates

 

  All warranty claims are made at the discretion of the manufacturer and not the responsibility of The Goalie Crease.

All warranty claims must go through The Goalie Crease unless otherwise stated.

All warranty claims must be made, explored, and resolved within 90 days from date of purchase involving hockey boot issues.

All warranty claims must be made, explored, and resolved within one calendar year or 365 days from date of purchase involving hockey skate holder and blade issues.

All warranty claims may result in a repair charge if claims don’t fall under manufacturer warranty policy.

Warranty claims must have original proof of purchase from The Goalie Crease which includes a receipt and/or invoice. No original proof of purchase will void all manufacturer warranty.

All warranty claims are covered against defects in manufacturing and workmanship.

Warranty claims do not cover any damage resulting from neglect, normal wear and tear, abuse, mishandling, over heating and used products.

All personal modifications or alterations to any part of the skate will void manufacturer warranty. This includes overdrive blade installation.

Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer to The Goalie Crease and upon return of the repaired or replaced product.

  

Sticks

 

  All warranty claims are made at the discretion of the manufacturer and not the responsibility of The Goalie Crease.

All warranty claims must go through the manufacturer. Contact The Goalie Crease for warranty stick procedures at info@thegoaliecrease.com or call us at 1.888.449.1274.

All warranty claims must be made, explored, and resolved within 30 days from date of purchase on composite sticks.

Warranty claims must have original proof of purchase from The Goalie Crease which includes a receipt and/or invoice. No original proof of purchase will void all manufacturer warranty.

All warranty claims are covered against normal use and defects in manufacturing and workmanship.

Warranty claims do not cover any damage resulting from neglect, excessive wear and tear, abuse, mishandling and used products.

All personal modifications or alterations to any part of the composite stick will void manufacturer warranty.

All wood and foam core sticks do not have a warranty from manufacturer or The Goalie Crease.

Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer to the manufacturer.

 

 Masks

 

 Each mask manufacturer we have developed a great relationship with has a very unique warranty policy. Listed below are the general policy features that are common among all our great mask manufacturers.

 

  All warranty claims are made at the discretion of the manufacturer and not the responsibility of The Goalie Crease.

All warranty claims must go through The Goalie Crease unless otherwise stated.

All warranty claims must be made, explored, and resolved within the mask manufacturer’s policy from date of purchase.

All warranty claims may result in a repair charge if claims don’t fall under manufacturer warranty policy.

Warranty claims must have original proof of purchase from The Goalie Crease which includes a receipt and/or invoice. No original proof of purchase will void all manufacturer warranty.

All warranty claims are covered against defects in manufacturing and workmanship.

Warranty claims do not cover any damage resulting from neglect, normal wear and tear, abuse, mishandling, and used products.

All personal modifications or alterations to any part of the mask will void manufacturer warranty and certification.

Mask cages are not covered against breakage or denting under manufacturer warranty policy.

Mask hardware, clips, and harness are not covered against breakage under manufacturer warranty policy.

Mask paint and artwork are not covered against scratching or chipping under manufacturer warranty policy.

Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer to The Goalie Crease and upon return of the repaired or replaced mask.

 

Bauer – 6 month warranty.

Sportmask – 90 days on X8, Mage, Mage RS and Ricochet models, one year or 365 days for all other models.

 

 We do want customers to know that we will look after you at all costs and always try to work out some kind of solution that will work both for the customer, The Goalie Crease and manufacturer. Custom Order Policy

 

 Because we are a Goaltending Specialty Retailer and Goaltenders are what we are, we will be the first to say that each and every Goaltender has different needs and wants. That is why we have put a lot of our effort and time into working closely with our manufacturers, agents, and affiliates to offer our customers better than average custom turnaround times at the very same price as in stock items, with some exceptions. We do this so that we can facilitate the needs of all Goaltenders and offer the most professional, specialized, and friendly service that will meet and exceed your needs and wants. These key concepts are a necessity when dealing with custom order gear. We pay a great deal of attention on actively listening to our customers to gain valuable information that we use to help others.

 

 

We are happy to custom order any product with a minimum 25% non-refundable deposit.

Once an order is placed it can’t be altered after 48 hours.

Once an order is placed it can’t be cancelled and is non-refundable.

Custom order details are confirmed and approved by our manufacturers, agents and affiliates.

Custom lead times for custom orders are listed on product descriptions as well as under the “INVENTORY” drop down menu for ordering.

Custom lead times vary throughout the year. We do our best to keep the information up to date and current.

Custom lead times are not a guarantee on any custom order product.

We constantly monitor all custom orders with our manufacturers, agents, and affiliates using this information to keep you up to date on the custom order process.

Once we receive your custom order the balance is charged upon pick up or prior to shipping.

All shipped custom orders will be notified their custom order is in, has been checked off, and provided with shipping company, lead time, and tracking identification.
